PAST FORWARD

CREATING A PLACE FOR

Life Change
Life Together
Life Celebrations
Life Learnings
Life-Long Commitments

Five years ago, God gave us a fresh vision for Community at SCG with the launch of the Rooted program; it changed and continues to change our church! Each session we see hundreds of people come together to experience community, grow in their faith, practice spiritual disciplines, and break strongholds. With this new ministry did come one substantial hurdle: we had no space! So, in 2019 we launched the first phase of the Past Forward campaign to raise funds to convert the former Auditorium into the “CLC” (Community Life Center).  The first phase was completed in the summer of 2022 and the building was immediately put to use.  We have dozens of Community Life groups using the building currently all eagerly anticipating the day when they can have private, intimate spaces (with good acoustics!) to share and grow together.  It has been our intention since 2019 to do a second campaign to raise funds to finish the CLC, although our timeline was disrupted and pushed back due to Covid. However, God’s timeline was not disrupted and we are eager to launch the second phase this fall.  We are more committed than ever to transforming the CLC into place where people can gather, share, connect and do life together.

SCG Christian School

Launched Fall 2023

The past few years have forced many parents to stop and really evaluate their children's education--how it was forming them, not just intellectually, but morally and spiritually.  As parents, we want to raise kids who follow Jesus for the rest of their lives, a goal that is becoming increasingly difficult in the public school system. God has moved in the hearts of our staff and congregation to impress on us how SCG can partner with parents to educate and disciple their children.  And we just so happen building a facility full of classrooms (that will be largely unused during the day). We are excited to announce that SCG Christian school launched in the fall of 2023!.  God is already moving mountains to make this dream a reality, so we are sure the next year will be an amazing one as we prepare to take this step of faith together.

UPGRADE KIDS PATIO

If you’ve been around SeaCoast for any amount of time you know we highly value families and children. We have finished our project in front of the kids building creating a safe place for kids to play, families now have a safe place to meet other families and maybe even become life-long friends. What we are sure of is that SeaCoast is a great place to meet people who share your same values, your beliefs and are headed in the same direction. It is our intention to provide spaces to facilitate these types of spiritually beneficial relationships.

UPGRADE youth PATIO

At SCG Youth we want to create spaces for students to do life and find life. Over Covid we had the opportunity to reopen because of our outdoor space and had 100s of students coming weekly to our Services and LifeGroups. We have learned that students learn in rows but grow in circles and we want our Youth Facility to reflect that reality. Completing our facility will facilitate that vision by creating more seating areas for students to get in groups and grow, as well as creating other spaces like a basketball court and cafe for students to connect and be with people who share a similar worldview.
