Bless

We believe that blessing and caring for others is a calling on the life of every Christian and we have seen our SCG family live that out time after time. During this time, we believe it is important for us to continue helping those who are struggling even in the midst of our own struggles because regardless of circumstances we are called to help. As we have been praying for revival we realized that all revivals throughout history have been accompanied by an increase of compassion and care for those who are struggling, so we want to make sure we are caring for those in need. We invite you to join us in blessing others and in return receive the joy of helping.

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

guatemala

During the Covid-19 pandemic Guatemalans have been hanging white flags on their homes to signal for help, a signal that they have run out of food. People who live in the Dry Corridor which is comprised of Guatemala and 3 neighboring countries are among the most food insecure in the world- where malnutrition in children is the highest in all of Central and South America. The pandemic and subsequent quarantine has made this a crisis. Our partners are working to help feed 80,000 families that cannot work because of quarantine. At SCG we want to help and be part of the solution.

Each $75 sponsorship includes enough food to feed a family for 1 whole month

15lbs corn flour/maize
9lbs uncooked beans
3 bottle of cooking oil
6lbs of fortified protein drink

BANGLADESH

South Asia is not only facing the global Covid-19 pandemic but a myriad of natural disasters including a recent cyclone that has had devastating effects. These families were barely surviving before the pandemic and natural disasters, now it’s even worse. As a result, children in the slums are being recruited for human trafficking in order to provide food for their families. Through our partners we know that we can help many children from this fate by providing food for their families.

uganda

<p>We have partnered with The Good Samaritan School in Uganda for over 16 years. That partnership has included medical missions, building and funding the original water supply for the school, sponsorships and several other projects. The children are mostly orphans or are from very impoverished families who cannot care for them. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic the Ugandan government required all 2,500 children from Good Samaritan School to be sent home. Unfortunately, many of the children have no home to return to. The school has nowhere to turn except to ask distant relatives and trusted families in the community to take them in. But many of them cannot provide basic needs like food, water and hygiene needs. SCG would like to help make sure that these children and the families caring for them are provided for during this crisis.

Each $30 sponsorship includes enough food to feed a family for 1 whole month

22lbs of rice
22lbs of beans
22lbs of posho (maize flour)
6.6lbs of salt
4 bars of soap
