High School Ministry
At HSM our primary focus is creating a God centered community. We believe High School is pretty tough to do alone and we want to create a space for students to connect with others and most importantly with God. We believe church should be fun, engaging, and transformational. With that in mind, HSM is centered around biblical teaching, worship, and serving others.

VOLUNTEER INFO
One of the most important goals of our junior high and high school ministries is that we have equipped volunteers to pour into our students. Youth volunteers are the driving force behind our ministry. They invest in our students and take part in important areas of our students lives, helping them to navigate through their faith journey. There is no “perfect volunteer”. Everyone has their gifts, and here in SCG youth ministries we want to see God use those talents to make an impact in the lives of our students. We have plenty of opportunities for you to volunteer in youth ministries, whether it is at our weekend services, or our mid-week services. We would love for you to join the SCG youth team! We are so excited to be sending our students back to Hume Camps this summer to grow in their faith and their relationship with God. This year, we would love to be able to proved as much support and camp scholarships as we can which is why WE NEED YOUR HELP to do so! Last year you all gave so generously and we were able to send some kids to camp entirely free or for discounted prices upon their scholarship request. Mark your calendars for our two fundraiser events: Chick-Fil-A fundraiser in Rossmoor, April 25th 5-8pm and our Youth Car Wash Saturday, May 18th from 9-11am (Ticket Link to come soon). Registration is officially OPEN! JHM will be attending Hume SoCal June 23-29 while HSM will be heading up to Hume Lake July 14-20. We have seen camp change the lives of so many students in the past and we can't wait to see how God moves in big ways this year for the students that go! We believe that camp plays such an influential role in the development of faith for our youth because it allows a space for students to get away from the distractions of the world and refocus on diving into the word, seeking God, and building a community around them that brings them closer to God. This year, Hume will be walking through the book of Matthew and the life and ministry of Jesus. OPERATION DON'T FORGET MOTHER'S DAY
Join us for a Mother's Day Prep workshop where you and your middle or high-school-aged children can bond, have fun, and learn together. In this workshop led by Chef Kyle Powers and the 20 Conversations team, families will gain skills in toast-giving, table setting, meal preparation, knife sharpening, salad spinning, and more, all aimed at creating an unforgettable Mother's Day celebration. This event is designed for fathers with children aged 9 and up, with limited spots for the first 40 dads. The participation fee is $45 per dad, which includes the cost of the meal you'll prepare, learn for Mother's Day, and enjoy together.
